Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan (IPO-Pakistan) is an autonomous Organization of the Federal Government established in April, 2005 and working under the administrative control of the Cabinet Division, in order to give importance to the newly established Organization the Minister Incharge of the Cabinet Division is the Honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan. Being a body corporate, its governance structure resides in the Policy Board which is based on Public-Private partnership. There are six Federal Secretaries of the stake-holding Ministries and one BS-21 Officer of the Cabinet Division representing Public Sector and four representatives of the high profile Private Sector entities. The Chairman, IPO-Pakistan is the Head of the Organization and Chairman of the IPO Policy Board. The Director General is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of IPO-Pakistan and ex-officio Secretary to the Policy Board. Thus the Government of Pakistan has invested its finest human resource in the governance structure of IPO-Pakistan to make IPO-Pakistan a vibrant and dynamic Organization.
