ISLAMABAD, July 29, 2020: Intellectual Property Organization (IPO-Pakistan) and Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) on Wednesday signed a cooperation agreement for promotion and commercialization of inventions and innovations in the field of agriculture.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Mujeeb Ahmed Khan, Chairman, IPO and Dr. Muhammad Azeem Khan, Chairman, PARC.
The agreement will not only help boosting cooperation between the two sides but also acknowledge and register inventions in the agriculture sector.
Under the agreement, both sides will conduct joint awareness raising sessions regarding intellectual property and conduct national level meetings on agricultural IPR issues, such as Geographical Indications (GI).
This agreement has been materialized on the recommendations of National Assembly Sub-Committee on Agricultural Products held last month.
