TISC Network in Pakistan
In October, 2017 a Service Level Agreement (SLA) was signed between IPO Pakistan and WIPO to formalize our mutual commitment to establish TISC network in Pakistan. At national level IPO Pakistan strengthen its partnership with Higher Education of Commission (HEC) to approach Academic institutes as major group of TISC Hosts. In Dec, 2017, tripartite agreements were signed between IPO, HEC and Host institutes to chalk out the responsibilities of every partner towards this initiative.
Currently, there are 27 institutes hosting TISC including 23 universities, 1 R&D institute, 2 Government organization and one Chamber of Commerce. TISC network is spread all over the country including institutes from all provinces and capital territory.
In Oct, 2018 IPO Pakistan and HEC initiated 2nd phase of establishment of TISC network. After fulfilling all formalities twenty more host institutes selected to house TISC including eighteen universities and two R&D Institutes. Formal Institutional agreements would be signed with these newly selected institutes in coming months. After initial allocation of resources these centers would start functioning soon.
